ooc: Wanted an open thread with the first foal of Radiance.
REFLECTED IN WATER handled by Angela Renzo,
Jockeyed by Meredith Hently
Remi was just as intent as her humans were and bobbed her head from time to time. Meredith and Angela giggled to the trait that the filly seemed to pick up for her sire. "Remi is a sprinter and while Radiance was a distance runner I think we should get her to at least to the breeders cup sprint with the right training."[/i] Angela suggested to Meredith. It was true Radiance was a distance runner on dirt surfaces. He was a great stallion much like his own sire HoF True Enough. "I'm sure Remi will be ready when she wants to. She is just as stubborn as her dam." Meredith said before sitting on the stool.
Angela rubbed Remi's neck as she became impatient with her handler and gave her a gentle touch to try to relax her moods. "I want to at least show Stride of Perfection stables that one of the offspring of one of their top retired racehorses can succeed. We have three foals from Radiance in our stables Meredith all of them with different priorities we just happen to have the only female of the stallion on ground at the moment."[/i] She said looking at the tough filly with an open mind. Reflected in Water is set to run in the ORCHID CUP FILLIES* this coming week and with her brother on her heels things may be interesting.
She was a True Enough Grand-daughter and would be graceful out on the track. Angela then checked her legs for any sign of injuries and where they seemed to be none it was normal for any handler to check over their horses. The horse seemed to have a skinny frame but, she was quite small and she seemed to always run on her toes more then her entire hooves. Meredith stood back up and rubbed her nose. "Remi will have a good season this year I can feel it. Isn't that right girl?" She said seeing her natural flare in her eyes. This was simply a normal day and while speaking of this in the open public didn't seem to bother the two for the moment.

[/i] She said grabbing a brush.July week 2 was a front hold for Nature blue as 2 year old Reflected in water became grade five on her third race of the season. The first Radiance foal was blooming with the start of her career but, she still had a long way to go. Remi as the bay filly was nicknamed was a high strung girl with high hopes just as her two brothers in the same stable. Angela had taken the filly out of the stalls and took her to Green horse fields to stretch out her legs and be a normal horse.
She had called the jockey of the filly to meet her here while they would talk and while this day was an open meeting or an open visit for everyone to see it would be a long year with a lot of other race horses to train. Angela tied the reins to a pole in the ground to keep the filly steady and without a saddle on as well. It wasn't long until Meredith did show up in her normal clothing instead of jockey wear. "Hey Angie, sorry I'm a little late heavy traffic." She said walking up to the 16hh filly patting her side gently. "Hey Meredith no worries I just had to talk to you about some strategies for Remi"
